About me
I am a researcher specializing in inverse problems, computational imaging, variational optimization, and machine learning. My work focuses on the modeling and development of robust numerical algorithms for the processing and analysis of signals and images, with applications spanning medical imaging, spectral imaging, and industrial optimization, advancing both technology and understanding in these fields.
I completed dual undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering at the Industrial University of Santander (Colombia) in 2016. I later obtained my Ph.D. in Engineering in 2022, further strengthening my expertise in research and higher education teaching. As part of my doctoral training, I undertook a research internship at the University of Tampere (Finland) from 2019 to 2020, where I further developed my work within an international research environment. Since 2022, I have held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Lyon and at University of Toulouse Paul Sabatier III (France), where my research focuses on the application and development of optimization methods and deep learning techniques for medical image processing. In addition to my research activities, I have actively contributed to the organization of international scientific conferences, including STSIVA 2019, EUSIPCO 2023, CVPR 2023, ICCV 2023, EUSIPCO 2024 and WiCV@CVPR2026, reflecting my engagement with the international scientific community.
